Waukesha County client is looking for someone mechanically inclined to join their 2nd shift team! Will be responsible for assembling and disassembling a variety of molding tools for general maintenance, repairs and revisions.
Essential Duties:
- Inspect tools, dies, jigs and fixtures for condition and conformance for tooling standards.
- Understand specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models or descriptions.
- Visualize product to determine materials required and machines used to fabricate parts.
- Setup and operate tool room equipment needed to build, repair, revise and service molds , fixtures and related tools in correct timely manner. Including, but not limited to; manual or CNC controlled lathes, milling machines and grinders.
- Fit and assemble parts and tools.
- Use hand tools, machine shop gages, indicators and other measurement equipment to verify conformance.
- Connect wiring and hydraulic lines for electrical and hydraulic components.
- Verify conformance of dimensions, alignments, and clearances of machined parts to specifications with the use of hand tools, machine shop gages, indicators and other measurement equipment.
- Use CAD system to determine size of components to be machined.
- Draw or sketch design of concept ideas to be evaluated by other team members.
- Observe injection molding machine operation to detect tool and die malfunctions, provide solutions to address the problems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Operate overhead hoist/crane to position tools and dies.
