Experienced Laser Operator


Our Hartford area client is looking for a couple hardworking individuals to join their Laser Department on 2nd shift!

As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for bending the tubes with the BLM Laser and:

  • providing attention to detail
  • setting up laser machine based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
  • distinguishing material types including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper and brass
  • lifting raw materials and final products manually, or using hoist
  • ensuring parts of the correct quality and quantity emerge from the laser cutting system and are routed to the correct location on shop floor
  • De-burring parts with file or grinder
  • De-nest and remove laser oxide from parts
  • performing daily preventive maintenance and clean-up of laser equipment
  • Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system
  • Safely operate a forklift (stand up AND sit down) to handle materials and complete work
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

1st shift: Monday-Friday 7a-330p


Preferred 2+ years of experience on Cincinnati or Trumpf or similar CNC laser cutting machines (TruDisk/TruFlow preferred); however, willing to train the right person.
Great work ethic
Basic math skills
Must be able to understand and read written instructions and or directions in work related documents.
Understanding and the use of a caliper, micrometer, tape measure (digital or dial)
Ability to read blueprints and other documents
Knowledge of simple operations in windows based computer environment; preferred in JobBOSS
