Event Chef Assistant


Our Menomonee Falls client is looking for an Event Chef Assistant.  Client caters and hosts the Milwaukee-area of events of all shapes, sizes and styles.

**Head Chef creates schedule roughly a month in advance with adjustments when needed, but must be available to work Tuesday-Saturday with possible Sundays.  Must be available days, nights and weekends.  Most events are on weekends which requires prepping during the week.**

As an Event Chef Assistant, you are responsible for proper preparation and execution of food items required for all banquet events, including breakfast, luncheons, dinners, weddings and special parties according to clients standards.  Performing cooking, carving and/or other buffet station duties as required along with any other duties assigned will be expected.

As an Event Chef Assistant, you are responsible for the following:

  • Collect food and beverage products, small wares required for item preparation
  • Operates food production equipment
  • Follows standard recipes while preparing assigned items for banquet service
  • Assists in plating food
  • Keep an accurate inventory while maintaining quality control
  • Makes sure all items are wrapped, labeled and rotated, and stored properly
  • Cleans assigned work stations and uses safe and sanitary food handling practices
  • Carves food on buffet line, prepares and cook any late night options request by the event and sets up plating line for banquets and assists with those duties throughout the evening
  • Directly reports to Head Chef, follows and informs them of any issues/shortages in advance


ServSafe Certification Required or able to obtain
1 year of Cooking experience is preferred
1 year of Restaurant experience is preferred
