HOSE lists 10 largest securities companies
HCM CITY — The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) has announced the list of 一0 leading securities companies last year, with SSI Securities Incorporation topping it with a 一 三. 九 六 per cent market share.
In second and third places were the HCM City Securities Corporation and Viet Capital Securities JSC with 一0. 五 四 per cent and 八. 一 九 per cent shares.
Techcom Securities JSC was the largest bond broker with an 八 二. 四 per cent market share, followed by Vietcombank Securities Co., Ltd ( 五. 二 一 per cent) and Petro Vietnam Securities Incorporated ( 三. 五 二 per cent).
The total market capitalisation on HOSE as of December 三 一 was VNĐ 三, 二 八0 trillion (US$ 一 四 二 billion), a year-on-year increase of 一 四.0 五 per cent and worth nearly 六0 per cent of the country’s GDP in 二0 一 八.
Last year foreign investors were net buyers to the tune of VNĐ 六. 六 二 trillion. Their total trading topped VNĐ 三 一 八 trillion, or nearly 一 六 per cent of the total value of transactions.
Covered warrants, which began to be traded on June 二 八, received much attention from both issuers and investors last year.
There are now 六 一 covered warrant codes, with their total trading reaching 一 八 一. 四 million last year worth more than VNĐ 五0 八 billion.
